奈良町にある書道美術館の近くを歩いていると、天国の香りがします！
天国というところには行ったことがないので、嘘だということになりますが、高貴な香りがして急に気持ちよくなるので、周りを見渡します。
それは、仏壇店の店頭で焚かれている白檀の香りでした！
たしか、春日若宮おん祭りの遷幸の儀のときと、同じ香り・・・
奈良町は世界遺産の元興寺の境内であった地域で、多くのお寺が散在しています。だから、仏壇仏具のお店もたくさんあります。
そして、歩いていると、絵にも描けないような良い香りが流れてくる・・・・
奈良町は、天国に一番近い町かも知れません！
Walking in Naramachi around the calligraphy museum, you can smell a fragrance of heaven from somewhere.
I actually have never been to heaven, so I don’t know what the heaven smells like.
Anyway, looking around feeling good with the noble fragrance, I found it was from a Buddhist altar store burning aloe’s wood incense.
I remember that it smelled the same during the Onmatsuri festival at Kasuga Shrine.
There are many Buddhist altar stores around this area since Naramachi used to be a temple precinct of one of the world heritage site, Gangoji temple.
That’s why you walk into this kind of ineffable really nice smell.
Naramachi could be the closest place to heaven!
